Modern Technology in a Smoke Alarm

The electronics in the smoke alarm combine traditional optical smoke detection with the intelligent analysis of changes in temperature within the monitoring radius of the detector. Both sensor readings are continuously recorded and evaluated on a processor developed especially for the PX-1. This dual security mechanism only leads to an alarm when there is concrete indication of a fire.
The modular construction of the device allows the casing and electronic components of the PX-1 smoke alarm to be disassembled if necessary. Should only the casing be damaged, our technicians can restore a PX-1 to mint condition economically and in an environmentally friendly manner.
A further advantage of the PX-1 Smoke Alarm can be found in the long maintenance-free service period of the unit. A lithium battery soldered to the electronic panel provides the necessary power to the device for at least 12 years. The ecological and economical benefits are easy to recognize.
Furthermore, the PX-1 comes with a particularly elderly-friendly test button, which can be used to not only trigger an authentic test alarm in order to ensure the functionality of the device, but also to deactivate the signaling device in the case of an alarm.
The integrated event memory in the smoke alarm serves for reading the device’s self test protocol as well as for securing the smoke and temperature data when in alarm-mode.
Of course, in keeping with our other products, the PX-1 can be simply and quickly mounted on a ceiling with the popular MHF-System without drilling. For friends of the traditional drilling installation, the PX-1 also offers this option, which likewise supports easy maintenance of the device.
Naturally, the PX-1 complies with the Europe-wide DIN EN 14604 norm and is certified by well-known testing institutes like TüV /Kriwan.
